This pains me to do and I'm semi-hoping I won't have to let her go but I WILL need a 5 string. This is the best p I've ever played, period, and I have played the REAL deal (vintage Fenders). There's really no comparison when you factor in price and maintenance. But who am I talking to here ? Everybody is a convert on TB, so let's move on...

I bought this last year from a local music shop. The previous owner had the mint guard changed for a (great quality) tort one. I don't know if it's a Lakland one but fit is perfect. The bass has the Fralin pickup. I have tried the new Lakland pickups. They are great, but I prefer the Fralins overall. More grunt and the mids are more pleasing to my ears. The bass is strung with D'Addario XL Heavy Gauge. I can string it with broken-in light gauge Chromes if that's more to your liking.

The previous owner didn't play bass (guitard who tought he could sub as a bassist), as is evident by the minty nature of the beast. It is easily a 9.5/10. The only blemishes are scratches on the pickguard and two tiny nics near the serial number. I tried capturing those in pics. I think I have failed.

The bass is light (under 9 pounds). Comes with a serviceable non-original hardshell case. The only thing it doesn't come with is the pup cover wich I lost.

Price is 700 US + shipping (I'm in Canada). You pay duties and other costs associated to getting the bass.

Trade options: good quality active/fretted/5 stringers or DI's + cash on your part. I'd love to have an AC, a Valenti or another boutique bass, but selling this one is a mean to NOT overextend myself. I just can't justify spending big bucks now. Run your offers by me (in PM to avoid clutter), the worse thing I can say is no.

PS: Caveat, the bass will not be shipped before a week or two at maximum. This means we can make a deal, but it is conditionnal to me getting a gig. I won't ask any funds or basses to be shipped before I am completly sure I'll need a 5 string, naturally.

Hard to commit to buying it when you aren't committed to selling it...

I could not have put this better...I have an '02 Glaub with the Fralins and let go a much more expensive American Fender when I was able to snag mine.....

great price...if you like the P sound and a "classic feel"...this is what you really want!!!

Thanks basspraiser. The Skyline Glaubs with Lakland pu's are great instruments but I found that these are flat out better, at least for me. The way it sits in the mix live is un-freaking-real.

Also, news on the "band audition" front. Tomorrow, I'll know if I have a gig or not, so stay tuned.
