Its called Black Transburst but they added Ceruse which highlighted the grain.

I just wanted to chime in...I played this bass at NAMM '06 and it was absolutely killer - easily the best bass I picked up at the show that year. If it had been a 6-string, I might have sold my car to afford it.

Seriously, folks - this is a truly exceptional bass.
Whoever ends up with it will be really, really happy.
