Absolutely no issues with the bass. I have the action medium/low but the neck is prefect, you can set the action as ultra low if you like.

Actually the one piece neck and non angle back headstock on the newer standard NYC's had nothing to do with cost cutting at all it was purely Fodera going full bore on design and tone to get as close as possible to the all elusive Fender sound and vibe...Sadowsky,Alleva and Nordy just to name a few also do one piece non angle back necks on there fender style 5's and not because of economical concerns.
Standards are not available with fancy tops as well as it isnt the design goal of that model.

You have a sweet bass there bro somebody will be very very happy with it...best of luck with your sale...
