Details

My beloved US JO, serial # 26 (1998) may be for trade. My new US DJ fretless has removed my JO from its number 1 position and it's time to possibly try something new. It's a player and has seen its use. Lots of little body dings, the neck is very worn in, bottom strap button came loose (put some filler in there) and some denting to the corners of the headstock. Nothing wrong with the playability of the bass... actually, no neck has ever felt more like "home" than on this bass.
www.lakland.com/osborn.html has the specs
3 tone sunburst alder body
beautiful rosewood board with BEM dot inlays
Lindy Fralin pickups

It could use a bit of a setup. 9.5+ lbs. It has some heft to it and the tone to match. The ultimate vintage-style j-bass.

US DJ4
OLY White Swamp Ash Body / Ebony Blocked BEM Board
Lakland Pickups
**Sold** Price is 1800 + 25 flat shipping charge. Comes in Lakland White Hardshell case. **SOLD**

For trades, I'm open to 4 string US Laklands. Again, this is a feeler and it may be very hard for me to part with this bass. It's been my number 1 for a while now.
A 4-76 or 4-94 would be cool. I don't think I'm going to go the 5-string Lakland route as the 35" could throw me a bit, but send an offer if you're interested. Maybe it will tempt me.

Thanks for looking. Again, the DJ is SOLD

i played evans JO at the lakland gtg a few weeks ago, this bass screams vintage jazz bass. it's broken in in a really good way.

whoever gets this bass will be extremely lucky

THE DJ IS SOLD!
I'm pulling the JO off of the market until my next ordered bass comes in. At that time, I'll assess my finances and the need I have of the JO. If I can avoid selling it, I will.
If interested, I would possibly still trade it for a 4-94, 4-76, or a US Lakland 5-string... maybe.

I will keep the thread open for the time being, in case there are any trade offers reflecting the above.

it wasn't the drunken doctor.

I'm on the fence about the JO, but chances are it will ship out in one way or the other. Not for sale, yet. A trade for a 4-94 or 4-76 could be nice. Or it could stay in my stable.

That JO is a mean bass E-Mac-G. Should have played that the other night instead of the DJ. I didn't know you had Lindy Fralin's in there. Let me know next time your in town.

maybe next time I'm in town, I won't drink so much before playing... not a great night for the band.
The JO is something else, but I loved that DJ. Great neck profile, good access to the upper registers, nice body contour... but, the JO is a beast.

It sure is. Man, what a growl I was getting out of that bass, it has cojones to spare!

I have two nice potential trade options on the table, but nothing is ever sure on these forums until it is done.
Feel free to send more offers, and please do not be offended if I politely decline.
