I am looking at selling my very clean Geddy Lee Jazz.

I've done some tasteful mods that can easily be swapped back to stock. And I will include all the original parts.

The bass weighs in approximately 9.5 lbs. and balances great. No fretwear and I just can't seem to find a dead spot although I'm certain that every Fender-type neck has them. The only issue that keeps this bass from being perfect is a small ding in the end of the headstock. You should be able to see that in the headstock photo.

I bought this bass to take to jam sessions but my job changed and I never could make the jam session or gig anymore. It plays and sounds like a Fender Jazz should sound and play.

Is there something up with the paint above the knobs? looks a little bubbly or textured?? And what mods have you made other than the obvious?

BINGO!

Shiny black paint shows everything. That's why you should never buy a white car.

That is the refection of the acoustic "cottage cheese" from the ceiling. Just like the reflection of the carpet in the other photo.

I really need to work on my photography skills.

I changed out the pickguard and the installed the original E-string tuner. I just have to change the knobs and the bass will be back to original.

NEW lower price $735 without the mod parts. I paid something like $90 for the Hipshot D-tuner. So I'll keep those and sell the bass at the new price.

I snapped a couple of photos along the way.

Like I said, the mods are really easy to change. I liked the mod'ed version myself.

One thing that I did notice when I pulled the pearl guard off.:eek: During that period there were no actual Geddy Lee pickguards so 3 of the pickguard holes didn't line up. So what I did was get some new pickguard screws and cut the head off of them. The heads of the screws that I cut off became dummy screws. There was more than enough screws to hold the pickguard on and I didn't drill any new hole to mount the pearl pickguard.

The original pickguard still has the protective plastic on it. And one thing to note is that this has the "Limited Edition" neckplate. Which may mean nothing but from what I've been told is that the inlays are actual inlays rather than painted on blocks.

I just wanted to note that the weight of my GL is more like 9.5 pounds rather than the previously mentioned 9 pounds.

Not a whole lot more but I wanted to make sure that this is corrected and noted.

Bump for a great bass (I have the same bass- mods and all) at a great price.

I'd trade ya an American P bass for it if we didnt live so far apart ;)
