Hey Everyone,
I've got an amazing Devon Diamond J5 here for sale. This bass has been owned by 2 other TB'ers who can speak to it's amazing qualities. It's been owned by Mr. Majestic and malthumb. It's a great J-bass made by a smaller luthier (devonguitars.com). He only makes basses, and makes them very well! Anywho, here are the particulars:
5 string
Swamp ash body, walnut laminate, burled willow top
13 pc. neck, wenge/maple/bocote/purpleheart/bloodwood
35" scale, 19mm string spacing, wenge fretboard
Pick-ups: Villex, EMG 45 size
Pre-Amp: Low End/Benavente 2 band
Knob layout: Volume/Volume/Passive Tone/Treble/Bass
Switches: Mid. shift/active,passive/mute
Bridge: Hipshot Style "A"
Ultralite Tuners
String though body option
Bocote String tree
Matching cavity covers, all held in place with magnets
Natural Wax finish
This bass has a very natural finish. What's nice is that you could easily refinish this bass in any way you wanted, or leave it as all natural. Either way, you'll be getting a great bass. I'm only selling this bass to fund a Rickenbacker I just purchased (been wanting one forever!). I'm asking $1,700 for this bass (Price drop from $1800.) New this bass costs over $3k with the upgrades from Devon (base model is $2500). I'm not looking for any trades right now as I'm trying to recoup some money from a purchase I just made...so this one is for sale only.
Bonus: I'll also include a Boss GEB-7 Bass EQ pedal for anyone buying the bass for $1,800. Bonus is currently not available at the $1700 price drop!
I'll be adding photos once I get home. Until that time, you can view photos at Mr. Majestics original post here http://www.talkbass.com/forum/showthread.php?t=417525&highlight=devon
