$2000. Will trade for your 55-94

Own a piece of history. This Hugh McFarland (the "land" in Lakland) built Lakland bass #150 is my nicest playing bass.

Trans-teal burst - unbelievable gorgeous in person. As you can see, being one of the first 4-94's, the knobs aren't quite in the same place as the modern 4-94s, nor is the jack and switch. But I assure you, you lose nothing configured this way. What makes this bass so special is the neck. It's like playing pureed butter. It almost plays itself, it is so effortless and smooth. While light (I have not weighed it, but it's high 7#, low 8#), it feels solid and is perfectly balanced. The birdseye maple dot inlays are gorgeous. The truss adjusts with ease and it was so easy to set it up to my liking. Has the adjustable mid DIP switches in the electronics cavity for "custom tune". Bartolini pickups and electronics.

It's priced high, I admit, but it's an absolutely stunning and great playing and feeling bass and new 4-94s are selling for $3200 on Bass Central, for example. And, it's a bit of a collector's piece as well being such an early Lakland. If I can't sell it, no big deal. I'm content keeping it, too. What may appear to be dings in the pictures are not dings.

The previous owner said it is Hugh McFarland made, and this was not disputed when I posted it in the Lakland Forum. Comes with the original white Lakland hard shell case.
