It's a terrible deal.

FYI - there is a reason that these old Warwicks with the all Wenge neck are highly sought after. Around 1999, Warwick, due to poor supply of wenge, changed the necks to Ovangkol. Ovangkol is not as stiff as wenge, thus the Ovangkol necks are much thicker.

Also, many people (including myself) swear by the growl an all Wenge neck gives you. It is what defined "the sound of wood" growl that warwick used to be known for.

If it is a good deal is really entirely up to the purchaser. I will say that if you think you can find a better price on an all wenge neck warwick (if you can find one), you should buy it.

Um, no scale, but I would say it is typical Warwick weight...between 9 and 10 lbs.

Hi! I have an older Ernie Ball Musicman 4 string fretless, natural finish, w/ string mutes, OHSC, and I think that it has a pau ferra(?) fretboard. Not sure, but it doesn't look like regular rosewood. Not a museum piece, it has some playwear, but in very nice playable condition. Low action, and great tone. It has a D- tuner installed, ( I'm not that crazy about D-tuners, but it was on it when I bought it used off of Craigslist about 5 years ago. It was my gigging bass for a long time, but I've since gotten into Hofners and Warwicks. I had installed a Gotoh bridge at one point, but put the original back on, and the intonation is great. It came with a clear pickguard, but I've since replaced it with a tortise shell, which looks fantastic on the natural finish. It has a microswitch between the last two knobs. I haven't seen this on any other M/M, so I feel that it's not original, but it really gives a lot of tone variations. Sounds killer!
