Bought this from a friend recently. He played it one hour when he got it, and it's sat in the case ever since. It's the newest condition I've seen on a Cirrus. In fact, I bought a new Cirrus 5 last year from a store, and this one is in superior shape. I can't find one single flaw on it. It didn't even have finger prints on it when I got it. The case is new, the manual, wrenches, strap locks, everything, new. You'll notice this has the new headstock, not the older style. It's beautiful with the maple neck. It will be shipped in the original Peavey box as well. UPS Ground only, usa only please. Shipping will be covered by me. I posted photos at http://gallery.me.com/synter#100045

Price lowered to a ridiculous $975 shipped in the lower 48 UPS ground.

It makes me ill that I have to sell a bass in this condition for that, but I have no choice. Makes me wonder how the hell Peavey sells even ONE Cirrus bass new at a dealer for $1800.00. You could take this bass out of the new box and you'd still be amazed how nice it is.

They used to use biredseye maple for the fretboards, but I've seen some Cirrus lately w/ plain maple. What does your bass have?

Every maple is different, but I'd guess it's regular maple? I don't see tons of swirly things. As far as the year, it's either 08 or 09 I'm guessing. I bought a new one in 08 and was surprised to see the new style headstock, my 2007 did not have it, it had the old block letter logo. It does not have sweepable mids. The only basses that come stock with that are the custom shops, and the $2500 tiger eye with wood knobs and wood back plates. All others still have the standard preamp. Personally I hate my sweepable mid preamps on my Millenniums...I always leave the eq flat though, so for me they are a moot point.

Hope that helps a bit.

Bump for a new out the door price of $999.00. You won't find any Cirrus in better shape than this one unless you order the thing direct from Peavey. It's on the 'bay too, so act fast!

That thing looks wicked. I think it is a good move for Peavey to dial down the old logo, and make it look a little more eccentric. I mean if you didn't know who made the bass, I think most people wouldn't even think twice about picking one up.

Either way good luck it's a pretty good price for an almost mint cirrus, I already have a redwood top and love it to pieces.

It's in better shape than a new one I bought! There are no clear coat flaws up by the neck pocket, the frets, fretboard, even the strings are fresh and new. I honestly don't think the guy ever played it even an hour. I think he bought it, and blew it off. I'm thinking of keeping it now, I'll never find one like this for the price again.

Can't do trades at this time, I bought the thing to help a friend out, and already have a Cirrus and 2 USA Millenniums, so I am just trying to move this for the money.
