I recently acquired this bass in trade but have been coming to the realization that my gear to talent ratio is WAY off, I don't have a ton of time to play, don't play out, and there is no reason for me to have anything particularly fancy. I'm including a link to the previous owner's listing with photos to give an idea for now, but I will post new updated photos tomorrow. I spent about a week completely going over this bass, took all the wax buildup off of the neck (Warwick recommends not waxing the neck as ovangkol is naturally oily and the oils from your hands will keep it healthy), got most of the sweat stains off the forearm contour and by the bridge pickup, cleaned the fingerboard very well (I had to use a razor blade and naptha, it was FILTHY!), re-oiled the neck and fingerboard with Stew Mac fingerboard oil, re-waxed the body, installed a new Just-A-Nut III (though the original II is included to retain it's originality considering it's rarity), and polished the frets. I also managed to get almost all of the scratches and marks out as they were only into the built up layer of wax so there are only a few tiny dings here and there, it almost looks new now. (I'm very proud of myself) Comes with (I think) original gig bag and Warwick owner's kit. Here's the prior listing:

This thing really is a beauty and I would be okay with keeping it, I just don't need anything this fancy and could use some extra cash. I have no extra funds to put on new strings but the older rounds that are currently on it with the MEC's gives an absolutely OUTSTANDING finger style tone!! It's the best finger style tone I have ever found. One other thing that might be why the finger style tone is amazing that I found out while cleaning it up is that the body is CHAMBERED! That's probably a good thing as well in the sense that this isn't the lightest bass in the world and a solid body only would have exacerbated the problem. Certainly not the heaviest Warwick I've played, but not the lightest either. Figuring on asking what I got it for in trade value of $1350 plus shipping. Trades would be for lower end to mid range basses plus cash. I have my eye on a few different Schecters and Ibanez's already so cash is king, but feel free to run anything by me.

The last photo is a close shot showing the small amount of the forearm sweat and thumb wear near the bridge pickup. Any other photo requests just let me know.

I also had a question about what style Ibanez I am into. Ideally I would like on with the carved body (convex top and back), oil finish, P/J pickups, 3 band EQ, four string greatly preferred but would be willing to consider the right sixer. It wouldn't have to have all those features, those are just what I prefer. If someone wants to buy me this and trade it and cash I would love to go for it:

I figure since I'm describing the Ibanez I'll do a Schecter too. I really like all the Stilettos, but the Studio most of all. I also really like the Schecter Exotic line that has been discontinued for a while, that's actually what I'm looking at getting if this is an outright sale.

Feel free to send any kind of a trade offer, I'll consider anything, the above is just what I'd be most apt to go for. Thanks!

Sorry, ebay considers souls as body parts now and that's against their policy, I don't think I could get a whole lot of cash for it.

I can honestly say that this Warwick model has the most unbelievable tones I have ever heard. I totally regret selling the one I had.

Good luck

Just picked up a sweet MIJ BTB so I don't need trades anymore, looking for an outright sale. Thanks!
