My GAS for a 2 band Stingray cannot be quenched, so I am offering up my SR5 for your SR4 (2 band).
What I'm looking for is a straight trade (depending on what you have) for a maple-boarded, 2-band eq Stingray in good shape. I really don't care what year it is as long as it sounds, looks, and plays good. I want something that has some life in the frets, and is capable of a low action setup. EDIT: I will consider a rosewood board on the right bass too.
My SR5 is an '07, black n' maple single H. It has the older style ceramic pickup, but it does have the new EBMM compensated nut. There's only one nick in it inside the lower cutaway that was there when I bought it. (It actually was leverage in getting me a better deal.) There are also the obligatory nail marks on the pickguard from slapping. Other than that, it is pristine. This is easily the lowest setup I've ever had on a bass without a lot of buzz. EBMMs are usually very high quality and capable of low action, but this one is truly remarkable in that regard. The action makes it almost effortless to play. I do have the case for it as well.
I also have installed some hipshot ultralight tuners on it, which takes about 3/4 of a pound off the headstock. The bass hangs perfectly at 2 o' clock. I would like to keep the tuners, but for the right deal (or cash) I will throw them in.
