After weeks of contemplation, I've come to realize...I'm a Spector guy at heart. Both of these basses will see far less time on stage and in studio, since I got my Euro, so I'd like to get them in the hands of someone who will use them more.
Fender 50th Anniversary P-bass (Blonde on Blonde...ie, Blonde w/ Maple)
$825
Grab a pick and get that rockin' tone of the classic p-bass sound w/ this bass or use your fingers to dig out that traditional Motown groove. The 50th Anniversary (MIA) does it right. The finish is beautiful. The neck and board give it that tint of yesteryear. I've thrown on a tort pickguard which I think brings out the blonde and maple. My intentions were to drop a set of Bassline Quarter Pounders in, but never got around to doing it...so I'll include them in the deal, but the original pups are still in there. (A side note: There is a slight chip in the headstock. Doesn't affect playability or anything, just a battle scar with a testy cymbal that got in the way.) [CLARIFICATION 1 - Comes with a hardshell case | CLARIFICATION 2 - The Deadhead sticker can be removed, although I may throw in a new pickguard all together for you.]
What does this get you?
And now, for the bass porn...
