I've had some interesting trade offers to this point but nothing has stuck. I haven't been bumping the thread due to an overseas offer but he appears to be having some difficulty getting rid of the bass he needs to sell to raise the cash. Any offers out there?

So....I've been trying to trade this lately with little success. I've been getting a lot of views but few replies so I've narrowed it down to a few possible problems that I hope to rectify(if anyone else has any wisdom to impart as to what I'm doing wrong, please do share):

  • Potential Problem #1: No one is willing to part with the few things I'm hoping to trade for so.....it is now for sale:hyper: I'm looking for $850 (Now $750 shipped!)plus shipping (so that I can buy the other bass that I want. I recently traded for this off CL and it is my fourth Precision. I've decided I would rather have more variety, this was the last in and will be the first out

  • Potential Problem #2: The pictures in my previous post were crappy so.......I've attempted to take better photos. Please excuse the dappled light. My yard is tree infested and I really didn't want to take it out in the street. I've attached the two I'm allowed to upload and will post the additional ones shortly. I'd be happy to take any additional pics upon request. Here is a link to my original crappy pics: http://s950.photobucket.com/albums/ad349/sirdugh/

For your consideration is a 50th anniversary Fender Deluxe Precision with OHSC.

The Good: It plays and sounds great, has a brand new set of La Bella flats (medium), and was set up by fellow TB'er Chef.

The Bad: I've tried to illustrate the issues in the pictures. It has a scratch on the back that doesn't go through the paint and a ding on the upper edge. There are a few minor scuffs on the edge of the headstock that I've attempted to illustrate in the pics. The case is missing one of the middle latches though the parts are in the case. It looks as though it could be reassembled but the case does stay closed.

The Ugly: Well......I think it is quite attractive actually.

Yeah, the anniversary thing could work..... It really was a great year for these basses. Ask anybody.... really :)
I really like those cases. I wish they still used them.

Thanks for the kind words.

I really like the case as well. It is the first hard case I've had that will fit into the trunk of my civic. I generally don't put my basses in my trunk but it is nice to know that I can stop to get beer on the way out to Chef's house without leaving my bass exposed;)

OK, I just realized that with this one, I have fender basses from the 60's (62), 70's (78), 80's (86mij), and 90's (95). Should I just keep it and buy one from the 50's (not likely) and 00's?

pm replied to regarding the possibility of shipping to Europe.

I would prefer to keep it in the US but may consider it if I can't garner any stateside interest.

I've seen these sell for more, what's going on people? I will drive within reason to meet and save you the shipping fees.

Any interest in a Geddy + cash?

I've always been more of a precision than a jazz type of guy (hmmmmm......perhaps that is why I have 4 of them). However, I'm not adverse to trying out something new.

Would you please send me a PM with pics and your offer?

Thanks!
