I just sent you a PM with a proposition, but then something occured to me:
How much does this one weigh?? The older ones were a good 4lbs heavier -- 37/38 lbs, and the newer ones are down to around 33lbs. I have a strong preference for a lighter one; could you verify the weight for me?

Thanks in advance,

Peter Wilson

According to the Genz Benz website, the NeoX-112T weighs 37 pounds. There is no information about a 33 pound model on the data sheet or in their press releases.

You're right, the website has not been updated. But I caught wind of a recent change of materials and consequent lightening of this cab on some Genz Benz threads here on talkbass. If you download their pdf catalog from their website you'll see the new weight listed there. And I just emailed GB asking about the 2 listed weights; Jeff Genzler himself replied:

"Regarding the discrepancy, yes I will check into the different listings. The actual (current) weight is 33 lbs."

I've been looking for the very lightest cab that can really hold its own with a loud drummer, and was actually leaning towards the 31lb Schroeder 15+L, but decided it was worth a couple of extra pounds to get a current Neox 112T cuz they have a bit more bottom. But 37lbs is pushing my comfort zone; it's worth it to me to wait for a recent one, or just go for the Shro.

Good luck with the sale -- it's a great cab at a great price; and not everybody's a wuss about a few extra lbs. like me.
