Hi, Just wondering if anybody would be interested in this. Suprise, it's a Fodera Matt Garrison. 2006 build. Just picked it up about a month ago, you may remember it. It sounds and plays better that any bass I've ever had the pleasure of owning. Lately I feel like it's a bit too much bass for the work I've got going. I originally had some reservations about what the wood tones would be like, but it's got a better range than anything, and can nail warmth quite well. The condition of the instrument is quite exquisite with little play time at all. The specs are as follows, very similar to Matt's actual bass with a few upgrades. The price is quite firm, and is set at several hundred dollars less than I've got into it. I'm just thinking about moving on to something a bit more modest, I've got an ideal build on order.

Fodera Matt Garrison Imperial
33" scale
19mm string spacing
Custom Duncan dual coil pickups
5 piece elite ash neck
Walnut body
Highly figured Chestnut top
Chestnut block
strung E-C

If your looking for one of these, consider snatching this one up. Your not likely to see another comparable bass for a while.

If you've got trades I'd just about only consider swapping for a different wood combination of the same model simply to compare. If you've got the mother of all classic LG5's I want it, but your going to pay quite a bit in addition. I DON'T want other offers for boutique basses I've had all of it, and nothing compares to this...not even close PERIOD

Does it have the new Pope pre?

Thanks

Beautiful specimen! Believe me, hold onto this one a bit until you get a modest bass that will fulfill your needs, or you gonna regret it. Just my opinion. I abandon my quest for $4000+ bass after I play a used passive Mexican Fender and a Sadowsky Ultra vintage lately. They got everything you need.

I'm pretty sure this is the bass that I sold on here a couple of months ago - I can confirm everything ctufankjian says about it. Condition is superb - almost as new. Playability is stunning and the range of tones is outstanding. Believe me, the bass would have gone nowhere had the board been a little less wide

One of my dream basses right here. BTW, are the ramps an upcharge on these or did this one ever have one like the other MG's I've seen?

Less wide??? What's the nut width? I assume spacing at the bridge is 19mm.
I came 5 minutes late to buy this bass last time it was around...:hmm:

kind of a disconnect for me. 33" scale but full 20mm spacing at the bridge and wide at the nut. with a narrow nut and bridge, this bass would almost make me want to spend fodera money again and i just sold mine:eek:
