Details

This is the long discontinued Ashdown Labs D-600 Bass head in a combo unit with a 210 as well as a stand alone matching 1x15. The head is the 575 watt original version which, with a new paint job, became the basis of the Mark King signature. Made in the UK! This is probably the best sounding Ashdown ive ever played (and i have 2 ABM-EVO II rackmounts). Rich piano like tones and a very versatile and powerful EQ! The Harmonic Emphasis knob adds alot of richness to the high end, giving you the perpetual sound of new strings. The cabinets do not have the ashdown blue line speakers in them but a different stock speaker. The ashdown site says these came with Neo speakers but Im not convinced that is what they are. They have a bit more punch and clarity than the bluelines. This has casters installed on the bottom of the 115 and has casters for the 210 combo that have never been installed. There was a very handy string tree installed on the front as can be seen in the pics.. there were others on the side.. they have been removed and repainted...the 2nd pic is a close-up of where a string tree/hanger was and now repainted. Included is a speakon to connect the 115 as the 210 has a designated connector.

Features the graphic EQ.. and Harmonic Empahsis. Ashdown nameplate can be removed for an extra rackspace. Digital recording out on the back. These are very rare. Very few made it to America. I have only seen 2 and i own 1 of em!. This thing just looks sweet as hell (s0unds just as good!) I normally hate gold on anything.. but this is sooo tastefully done with that vintage look that i love it!. I just replace the VU meter light.. so no worries on that for quite a while!!

$1000 cash in person and will drive up to 2 hours to meet you. Baltimore-DC-Harrisburg-Harrisonburg-Frostburg/Morgantown... etc.
Would possibly ship for shipping costs.....

Trades considered with appropriate cash on either end if necessary. Would REALLY prefer to sell due to circumstances.. but these things could sway me.

Bump for some Ashdown Love....

I keep coming back to my Ashdowns, as they are "my Sound"

I think you should hang on to these pieces...if they sound half as good as they look (and I suspect they do:D) you'll be sorry!

uh... beats me.. ive never played the Trace elliot.... but heres some reviews of the Mark King.. which is based on this amp and which Ive previously had and I find them tonally identical.. cos.. well... they pretty much are...

theres other reviews on harmony-central.com but their site is down at the moment, so i cant get the link but will provide it later. If i remember right, there is a review I wrote a few years ago on there, so you can get my thoughts on the record so to speak.

thanks.. but no.. i got too many cabs... the only reason im looking for an ASHDOWN 610 is because i wouldnt have to lift it!!... ive hurt myself too much carrying and lifting cabs.. i wanna get a 610 that i can roll and slide into the car and then sell my other cabs...
however that was tempting cos they are probably beautiful together!

They are indeed beautiful when paired.
I am going to see if I can move my cabs locally.
If I do, I AM going to buy this.
Craigslist and Ebay here we go.
Maybe fate will be on both our sides, beautiful rig.
Simply beautiful.
