I'm gonna post two ads for the same product here. I find it hard to believe that version 2 works, but you see it here often enough, so I figured I'd try my hand at the car salesman approach.
Version 1: Up on the block is my 3XFX v1 Buzz Bomb. I've linked my review of it below, but basically you're looking at a fuzz pedal with a built in photocell that allows you to control an almost "wah" like effect with your foot (or hand, or whatever your dirty self can think of). This effect can be toggled off or set at a particular frequency. This pedal retains the low end very well in the normal setting and passably with the effect engaged. I had a blend knob added to rectify this last characteristic and to give me a little more control.
I bought this in the Spring of 2009, so it's a little over a year old. It has only left my house a few times for practice and is in great shape. I joined a band a while back and just haven't used this pedal since. If you check the website, you'll notice the pedal looks a bit different than mine. They now come painted standard and the blend knob I had added is now standard (though it's an internal trim pot now). Overall, it's great at what it does, but I'm not using it.
Version 2: I've come to the painful decision to let the VERY BEST FUZZ ON THE PLANET go. I HATE to do this! My loss is your gain! Up for trade is the VERY RARE and boutique 3xFX V1 Buzz Bomb!!! This fuzz pedal sounds BETTER THAN AWESOME! Everyone that I know says it sounds like the voice of God wrapped in velvet and put in a blender with some quartz crystals!!!!!!! With four knobs, three switches and a photocell, there isn't anything pedal won't do, including getting you laid!
I've babied this thing since day 1 and kept it in an oxygen chamber when it wasn't being used. This is the original version which is TOTALLY better than the current one in every way I can think of. It's got the EXTREMELY RARE black pleather covering, the indescribably useful external blend knob and the NOW DISCONTINUED bass cut switch!!! Yeah, baby!!
This Buzz Bomb is THE BOMB!!!
