This is the new model with all of the regular German Warwick goodies...Just-A-Nut, two piece bridge, MEC pickups and a very thin neck. I would say the neck is very close to a Geddy Jazz in thickness. Also there's some nice flaming in the neck, which you can see a bit of in the close up of the back of the bass. It's only about a month or two old. Brand new condition.

I had a set of Hipshot Ultralites and threw those on the bass to see how they did. Not much difference from the standard Warwick tuners, which are very nice. (I can sell the bass with the Hipshots, but that will add an additional $50) They were a drop in replacement.

This is the passive version. Would be really easy to throw in a preamp if wanted. Lots of room in the control cavity.

Bass is very lightwight. Right around 6 lbs. on my scale. Would be awesome for long gigs. You can hardly tell it's there.

Alder body, maple neck, rosewood fingerboard.

The new Rockbasses are really nice. I have the 5 string version of this bass, and it's great.

I can't believe how much difference there is between the older Rockbasses and the new ones. The new ones have a neck about half as thin as the older ones, which to me felt like a baseball bat. They're very close to a German Warwick in fit and feel.

It's got to be the pickups then. Some Barts or DiMarzio's will cure that.
I love it. Always have favored the Corvette body style!
Taking trade offers?

are these new rockbass models capable of getting a real low action?

I have this one down pretty low. I like to get the action as low as I can without buzzing. I'm not a real hard player. Technically, you could get it even lower than I have it if you wanted.

That's fine, let me know.

Bump for a new set of D'Addario ProSteels put on last night. This bass is really nice. Someone buy it before I change my mind. :)

This bass is great to wear on a strap. It's so lightweight you hardly notice it's there.
