Brand new/Mint LG-5 (still has tuning covers and plastic sheet on the pic - guard. Surf Green Nitro with DN (Brazilian) Rosewood/Maple board.
8.95 lbs. ... Comes with Jimmy's hardshell case and ships in the original AC carton.

Fret board is a DN/Maple laminate ala Paul Turner's original Oly white LG. What you get is the DN warmth along with a nice articulate attack. This bass kills and resonates like heck.

If ordered today, this bass would cost $6500+ and be a year out minimum.

What does this mean? Are you saying it's a laminated (i.e. 3 piece) maple neck with a DN board?

Edit: No (misunderstood you at first, sorry) It is a conventional (1 piece) AC neck but with a thinned down maple board laminated to a thinned down DN board just like Paul Turner's original build. Similar to what Fender did for a while in '63(?).

Yup, really tough to give up, but I'm one of those whimps moving over to the dark side of (girly girl) 16mm spacing builds.

Which bridge does it have? The one in the full body shot looks different than the one in the inset photo of the neck.

Good point. I'm assuming he ended up going with the Hipshot B instead of Jimmy's proprietary bridge that is in the inset photo. Jimmy's bridge is very cool, though. Had it on my LG5.

Looks like one of Jimmy's standard Hipshot B's on the finished bass and one of his retro bent plates in the body shot.

Did anyone else see this ??

I can't make heads or tails of the fingerboard ???

It looks like another blank ( fretless neck superimposed over the original board- )-also, the second board protrudes into the pick guard :confused:

For real though, is it me and my terrible eyes OR--does anyone else see this ?????

NICE bass by the way, and more pics would be real cool :bassist:

I hear you man, that is the ONLY reason I don't ALWAYS play my AC's. Mind you I'd be OK with slightly less girly 17mm.
That's a beauty and some macho man is going to dig it!
