Up for sale, my Conklin GT7, 7 string bass.
Bass is in excellent condition, the neck is straight, the action is very low and her intonation is spot on (I bought it to work on chords and upper register tapping) .... This is a GREAT bass for tapping.
She has 24 frets, an ash body, wenge / purpleheart neck, bubinga fingerboard, powerful dual single coil Bartollini pups. The dual truss rods turn smoothly and are easily accessible.
She's currently strung: B,E,A,D,G,C,F
The weight is 11.8lbs ... Pretty light for a bass this size.
This a really killer instrument for the money, great tones, fast neck and fingerboard and she looks really beautiful in that deep red gloss finish against black hardware.
7 string basses are a lot of fun to experiment with ... For me, 6 strings are enough and that's why I am selling her. I found that a very light gauge set of strings on my 6, gets me pretty close to what I was looking to accomplish with the 7, I don't need both.
She's priced to sell fast and I am motivated to move her quickly.
I'd prefer a local sale but will ship CONUS. Buyer pays actual shipping cost once determined.
She'll ship in a gig bag ... or for an extra $75, I'll put her in a hard shell case.
