I built this external (EPS) power supply many years ago to power a couple of Alembic basses I had back in the '90s. It requires a TRS cable from the bass to the unit, and the bass needs to be appropriately rewired to allow for the ring of the TRS output jack on the bass to receive the 12V supply from the EPS. The tip of the jack carries the audio to the TS jack on the EPS which would get connected to an amp or other destination device.
