Custom Walnut Precision Slab Body
This two-piece walnut body was custom made by a small shop. I sanded it and finished it with Tru Oil gunstock finish. I put maybe half a dozen or so coats on. It's not professional, but looks pretty decent. The grain of the wood really comes though, you can really see (and feel) it.
It has black dunlop straplocks, which can be used with a regular strap too.
The bridge is a black hipshot vintage.
The pickguard is a matte black single-ply from Warmoth.
It has black metal knobs (Warmoth), CTS pots (250k) and an Orange cap.
I have black screws for the pickgurd which aren't pictured but I will include.
Why am I selling? Honestly, because I've been gigging a lot more lately and I prefer playing a cheap Squier bass that I can carry in a gig bag and leave in the car without stressing about it. Also, it's pretty heavy.
The unfinished body cost me $250. I spent $50 on the very neat wiring harness. The bridge is $78 new. The pickguard was $30, the knobs were $9. So this all would be $905 new (plus tax and shipping). I'll take $350 for the body.
I'd prefer a local sale. I live in Upstate New York, in Rochester. I'd be willing to meet along the thruway or possibly in North Jersey around Christmas. But if I don't get any local bites I'll ship.
