Do you know the approximate weight of the case? Thanks.

I don't know the weight, but from davidgage.com product info of the new cases they sell it's 48 lbs featherweight ($3,995) and 60 lbs regular ($2,900). This pre-dates the featherweight option so I'm gonna guess about 60 lbs, but I'll try to weigh it and see if that's correct.

Also, I have 2 Plywood basses - one a Juzek style circa 1950s sunburst finish with an ebony neck and a nice upgraded endpin; another a "Made in Checkoslovakia" bass - date uncertain but probably did time as a school bass, doesn't look great but sounds good. I have been meaning to post them for sale but haven't gotten around to taking decent photos yet.

Anyone interested in a good package deal on a bass and a flight case let me know. I haven't done such a thing but I assume it would be possible to ship a bass and the case to a buyer who's not in NYC.

Some profile shots. The block of wood (visible in the first photo) that the case rests on when you put it down sideways is a bit loose, but aside from that there's no significant damage, it's in good condition.

bump for a reasonably priced flight case.

Since I started pulling the trunk out of my garage a few times to take pics, I noticed the covering of one of the wheels had started to come off. No big deal and I'm sure you could jury rig something to cover the wheel easily enough. I would like to get $800 for it as is, or $840 with 2 new wheels so I'd break even on the cost of the replacement parts.

Any TBers bought or sold one of these recently? I've seen flight trunks asking $1200 to $1800 so thought I had priced this one reasonably. I understand that flying with a bass is enough of a hassle that it's a small market for them.
