The bass is great. It's exactly what I wanted, soundwise, and it's in decent condition. However, there were some issues that had to be dealt with that would've been nice to know prior- namely in the form of a heavily dented neck (like it was choked by something metal), and a busted insulation for one of the preamp-batteries- which made the bass unplayable, period. No sound in active mode, and vague humming in passive mode.

One of the pictures makes the choking dents on the neck (barely) visible, but not in a way that you can discern them as indents before seeing it up close.

I'm going to have to wet-iron the neck to smoothness. It does not effect the playability of the bass, however, it is quite noticeable. A ding is a ding, and on an instrument this old (96), I wouldn't expect it to be in perfect condition. But disclosure of this particular injury would've been nice.

The insulation is all fixed.
