Are these not Combustion pickups? From the Dingwall site it seems that FD3's with the A designation are Combustion alnicos, where the ones with out the " designation are neos, and are the ones put in the ABZs and Afterburners. Just seeking clarification.

They are in combustion cases, upgrades from the standard combustion pickups. These are the same pickups used in the ABZ models, this link might help which mentions these pickups as the ones in this bass
