Hi - I have been interested in these since they came out but I am wondering does it feel closer to a 32" scale or a 34" scale bass when playing it? The multi scale instruments are a bit confusing….any input you can give would be appreciated. Thanks.
- Lower frets: Closer to the 34" side, so it feels more like a long-scale bass in terms of reach.
- Higher frets: Nearer to 32", making them feel shorter and easier to reach.
I own both a medium-scale Fender P bass and a long-scale, and overall, for most playing, the Dingwall SP1 feels closer to the 34" P bass. That said, the body feel, weight, and proportions are more in line with a 32".
