Sorry to hear this, brother. Leo Fender would be amazed at Sheldon's 'take' on his iconic bass - these are in a league of their own IMO. I don't plan to sell mine as long as I am breathing and capable of playing it.

Man, this is such a deal, I'm surprised that it has not been snagged yet. I don't use the term 'ultimate' when describing gear because it is too subjective, but the two basses I have with Sheldon's neo split-p pickups are the two most amazing flavors of precision tone I've ever heard. For me, they definitely achieve Sheldon's goal for when you play one of his instruments - they make me smile every time I pick them up.
