I've gotten the Roscoe bug having just acquired two so, I'm having to part with some basses that I'd really rather keep. With that, this is for sale only, no trades.

This is one of the lightest 30th Anniversary models that I have seen, weighing in at only 8 lbs 13.1 oz, which is extraordinarily light for a pre-Special StingRay 5.

The 30th Anniversary model featured a ceramic pickup and a revamped preamp, along with white binding on the neck and figured necks/fretboards. The color is translucent buttercream and it has a roasted flamed-maple neck and fretboard. The neck is a satin finish (ultra thin poly according to EBMM) and not the typical oil and wax finish.

This thing plays fantastic and the preamp on these basses is marvelous. It'll get snarly or you can dial it back for something a little rounder. To me, the preamps in these basses are closer to what's in the Special models as they don't seem to get so out of control and piercing in the highs or flabby in the lows. But, that's certainly subjective and just my opinion. Either way, there's no doubt that many will agree these are great basses.

Asking $1800 shipped CONUS. PayPal preferred, but I'm open to other payment options. Will ship in OHSC.

It's tough to capture the flame maple neck and board, but I did my best in the pics below. As much as it's been played, it's almost flawless. I find one nick in the headstock (see photo) and a small nick on the neck behind the area of the 8th fret (see photo). Other than that, it has the typical wear/swirling on the pickguard, but nothing else I can find.

I found a small dent in the neck behind the 8th fret today. Original post updated and an image added.
