I recently upgraded the pickups in my 2008 Fender American Standard Jazz bass to a set of Nordstrand NJ4SV pickups. The original pickups have that great modern Jazz Bass tone. Tones of growl and huge tone. I was just looking for a specific sound (which I found with the Nordys). Grab these American Standard pickups and drop them in your Mexican Fender Jazz or Squire Jazz bass and get a great upgrade in sound.
