Looking for an F112 cab to buy near in or near the New England area. I would be willing to meet half way if needed. I would also be interested in a loaner or rental if preferred. I am mostly trying to see how much I'm missing if anything vs my current setup.
I have to GK 112 ii neos with the same upgraded Kappalite 3012lf speakers that's in the Fearless. It's pretty awesome and though there is no dedicated mid driver, I don't feel or hear any undesirable holes in the mids that I can't Eq in. I usually need just one cab. I've only brought both twice when I was playing larger auditoriums that could seat about 500+ without PA support. Both were loud churches and based on my personal recordings (I always carry a Tascam recorder and at the rear) It always sounds big and clear. I had a Barefaced big baby 2 before that was impressive too, but these 2 upgraded GK 112s together sounded just as wide, but also more defined in the low end, and the mids/top didn't sound lacking or sacrificed. They also sounded like they had more left in the tank. I primarily use a Magellan MG800 head, but have also used Quilter Bass block 800 and 802, GK 700rb-ii and 1001rb-ii. The barefaced as advertised, really did cover the same loud gigs that I used to use a 410 for. But the upgraded GK 112s have also able to do that with more room to spare IMO, to the extent that it's a fair comp.
So my next move is to try an F112. I'm not expecting it to necessarily cover what a 410 can do because it's not advertised as such, and I may not need it to anytime soon. I just am curious in what ways it may be better that may or may not suit me.
I may also sell the upgraded GKs with or without the original speakers or the 3012lf, because those are much easier to find than the F112 and upgrade again if it turns out that I like them best.
