Up for sale is a Fender MIM Precision PJ Body loaded in good shape. Interesting story on this one - this was the body from a bass I recently had listed for sale as a 1988 MIJ P. Another cool TBer wanted just the neck, so I decided to part it out. Upon removal of said neck (which is a legit MIJ), I discovered to my horror that this body was not a MIJ but a modified MIM, mostly likely Classic, P body made in 2010 or so. Apologies to any TBer that was interested in the whole bass and I mispresented the bass' provenance.
So to my embarrassment and $$ loss on my original purchase, I am offering this loaded PJ body. A previous owner routed for the J pickup and the cavity has room for a preamp/battery. While in my possession, I swapped the J pickup up for a Fender Noiseless to get a little more snap. Comes with a Fender F neck plate, screws, and black bumper. I will include the original J pickup in the sale.
** Neck in picture not included
Body is in good shape for 10+ years old, bumps and bruises but nothing major. Bass sounds warm and classic as a P should and mixing in the J you get some edginess that you would expect from a PJ. Weighs in at 5.9 lbs on my scale.
