This is a beautiful neck that plays amazingly. Frets are in great condition with plenty of life (I've always had flats on it). Tuners are the stock reverse style, aged to match the patina of the whole neck, which is tasteful and gorgeous. The rosewood is perfect, dark with some beautiful grain.
The back of the neck is a satin feel that is worn in perfectly. You can see in the pictures where the nitro has worn in. You can't see in the pictures, but the nitro on the headstock has checking. It's straight and sets up with extremely low action. I just took it off my P Bass body, I'm moving back to P necks, the only reason I'm letting this go.
You will see around the screw holes there is some wear where some of the surface wood chipped away. This is a chip on the surface, not a crack that would affect mounting. When I put it on my body, I "filled" it with some wood glue/sawdust just so it would be a flush even surface.
