For sale Fender Zone PJ Bass MX

The Mexican made Fender Zone bass is essentially the same design as the FenderPrecision Bass Lyte, which was manufactured in Japan, except for the addition of a set of custom-wound hum-cancelling P/J pickups and a three-band active EQ powered by a single 9V battery. The J-style bridge unit is a customized version of a pre-2004 Deluxe Active Jazz Bass pickup. On the five-string Zone, it's a Vintage Noiseless Jazz Bass pickup with solid covers. Active 3-band 9v preamp, volume, pickup blend. Pickups are stock deluxe alnico pickups and sound great. Alder body, pau ferro fingerboard, maple neck. Weight is 7 lbs, 15 oz. Nut is 1.5", and neck profile is thin and fast. Definitely feels comparable to my Geddy Lee. In great overall condition. A few blips, but nothing major. There’s a small crack in the finish near the neck, but it isn’t visible through the front. The only red one on the market that I’ve seen. Asking for $500 shipped.
