I am selling or trading my Ken Smith BSR6P bass that I got from another TBer a few months ago. This is a tough one- the bass plays and sounds absolutely killer. I have played MTD basses for about 9 years, and I like this one just as much as the MTD that I have. The action is super low and the neck is extremely comfortable and fast.
Here are the specs on this beauty:
All upgraded woods- Flamed Koa Wings / Tiger Maple Body (koa is extremely scarce these days and the prices for it have skyrocketed- Ken has even discontinued production of Koa basses)
5-Piece Laminated Aged Hardrock Maple/Morado Bolt-on with Graphite Inlaid Bars.
Ebony Board with Mother of Pearl sidedots
Electronics: Smith B.M.T. 3 Band Eq 18-Volt Circuit with Smith Custom Humbucking Pickups
String spacing: 18mm at bridge
I would say the condition of the bass is a 9.5 out of 10- there is very slight buckle rash from the previous owner, as well as a slight discoloration on the curve of the lower horn- these did not even show up in the pictures and are extremely minor. Otherwise this bass is in excellent condition, as you can see from the pictures.
(Price Drop!) The bass is $2,700.00 shipped to your door (CONUS only). I would also consider a trade for an MTD 635-24 (fretted or fretless). Also included in the deal is a Roadrunner case as well as a brand new set of Smith medium tapercore strings.
