Just got this two days ago from this thread:

http://www.talkbass.com/forum/f127/gk-mb800-f-t-aguilar-th500-1065232/

Played through it for about an hour last night at rehearsal. Sweet little amp, no doubt. Tons of power! Deep, deep lows, and nice crisp, clean highs. Weighs under 5 lbs. Just not really what I'm looking for at the moment. I'm in a transitional period right now so I'm trying out as many amps as I can to find "the one" for my new setup.

Looking to get exactly what I've got into it, which is [DEL]$525[/DEL] NOW $500 shipped CONUS with original packaging, footswitch and cable, power cable, and manual. Thanks!

Upon request, I opened up the package that the gig bag was in to take some pictures.

And another to show the front compartment. It's a really nice bag. Definitely higher quality than the Genz Benz gig bags...

And while I'm at it, here are a couple pictures of the amp.

Well, I decided to try this head out at rehearsal again last night... and I'm seriously considering pulling this and just keeping it. Sounds soooo good and is quite versatile as well. I'm going to leave this up for a few more days though just to see what happens...

Just curious, what are you looking for in terms of tone that this isn't doing for you?

Honestly, I think it was the rehearsal space that was making it not work for me. I tried it out again on Tuesday night in a different rehearsal space with a different band and I thought it sounded great. The problem is, in my town, there aren't a lot of great spaces to rehearse. Pretty much everything is in warehouses with concrete floors and concrete walls. So everything seems super bassy and can be deceiving. Cutting the bass doesn't really work either because then it's either super bassy, or almost non-existent. In one room, my Streamliner 600 (with a JAN Philps 5751 in V1) works better as it has less pronounced lows and is punchier but in another room, the MB800 seems to work out better as it carries the lows nicely and has better, more hi-fi highs.

Hope this makes sense to you! Because I'm still trying to make sense of it :)

Do all the controls work absolutely perfectly?
I just went through a brand new MB500 and MB800 both with knob / control issues.
