[size=+2]REPOST! PRICE DROP![/size]
Here is the original thread.
As much as I would like to keep this, I need to save up for a wedding (while curing some GAS along the way
). I had plans to rebuild a '75 tribute bass around this neck and have a brother to my '73, but I am downsizing so this has to go.
I did purchase tuners and string guide from an all original 1970 Precision bass and loaded this up, I will try to update pictures but the neck is the same. It appears to have been refretted at one point in time and for some reason is missing the last fret. I thought it would be an eyesore on my build so I planned on getting it fixed but its not as bad as I thought (and I cant get my tech to call me back). It was recently refinished in nitro by the previous owner with a reproduction logo. It is a decent job and the neck still has some dark spots but its smooth and extremely playable.
The neck looks good considering it's age. Frets in decent shape, truss rod works, and the rosewood has some beautiful grain in it. I am including the neck, loaded up with 1970 bass tuners, and the original neck plate with the serial number. Not interested in parting this out any further.
[size=+2]ASKING [del]$575[/del] [del]$550[/del] [del]$500[/del] [del]$475[/del] $450 SHIPPED CONUS OBO.[/size]
I have seen these necks in much worse condition going for much more.
