This is a 2017 G&L Kiloton 5 that I ordered as a custom build. It is Spanish Copper Metallic over swamp ash with matching headstock. The neck is quartersawn, with a nice straight grain to it. The fingerboard is ebony with face dots deleted at my request(but does have side dots), and it is equipped with a Graph-tech nut.
This bass has a very fine feel and build quality. There are no chips, dings, or other signs of damage. There is a small amount of light swirling on the black pickguard just below the g string. Other than that, it's nice enough to call "near-mint". This is a "herd-thinning" sale.
The controls are about as simple as it gets: 1 volume, 1 tone, and a switch that allows you to choose series, parallel, or single coil modes for the pickup.
The bass comes with a G&L branded hard case, all the usual G&L documentation, hang tag, and adjustment wrenches.
Weight is approximately 9 lbs 2 ounces.
$1,100 shipped to the "lower 48". Not interested in trades.
As for the sound, it's pure passive MFD joy:
