My 2014 G&L SB-2 needs a new home. Dead stock, in beautiful condition with only a couple of small dings, little to no fret wear. No repairs, other than setup - I bought it intending to double, and just didn't take to EB. Black body

with cream pickguard (there's also an unused white pearl guard included), rosewood board. G&G black tolex case in great shape. New set of GHS Precision Flats, .045-.105 The original build sheet is attached.

The stock setup has two volume controls, no tone controls. A lot of owners add stacked tone controls - search TB for more info. I found the fat Precision sound I was looking for with with the neck PU at about 60% and the bridge volume barely cracked.

G&L offers the tone control as a factory option in which case the bass is called an SB-2T. They put a third knob for tone on the pickguard and route the body for a side jack. I have a factory SB-2T and an SB-2 that I modified with a stacked knob tone control.

The tone control does give a bit more tonal flexibility, but I find that I don't use it much. Leo's original two knob SB-2 design is already quite flexible with a wide tonal palette.

Anyway, this is a fantastic bass in a classic color combination. Huge value for the money here folks.:hyper:

Yeah, think of it as a P+ - the J by itself isn't really great (IMO). But these things are pretty perfect as they are, one of my faves. Really love the vintage radius on this one. GLWTS!
