Hey Y'all,
This is a Tribute SB2 I picked up when I was craving one again (I've spent a lot of time playing SB2s as my main basses over the last couple of decades). Then I accidentally won an auction for a US SB2. So now I'm going to have some extra Tributes (SB2, JB2, L2K) and 1-3 of them are going to be heading out.
It was pretty grungy when I got it but has cleaned up nicely. The truss rod adjusted smoothly when I put some non-rusted strings on it after cleaning and it sounds like an SB2. It still has the standard control setup (vol/vol, no tone) and the pots may be a bit scratchy -- need some cleaning or maybe just use. It does have some marks/wear but nothing big - nothing I could really photograph and no chips in the finish. It's what I consider moderate weight at 9.25lbs.
$390 cash'n'carry here in Houston -- $450 shipped lower 48 (shipping has run me $59+change recently)
Trades:
- G&L L2K (prefer 8.75lbs or less, satin #8 neck, factory K switching)
- G&L Kiloton (1.5" nut width, <9lbs prefer <8.75, Tribute OK (particularly Irish Ale))
- Audiokinesis Hathor 1203
- maybe a lightweight G&L SB2 or SB1 (again 1.5" nut width satin neck)
my cash to add to a deal is somewhat limited but I do have 3 Tributes (JB2, SB2, L2K) of which anywhere from 1-3 will be heading out and could be included in a deal
