I can't believe I'm doing this, but it's up for sale. I just bought this a few weeks ago from dgelting, but I really don't need this much power and an unexpected purchase came up so I need the $$$ :hmm:. But this amp is just awesome. :bassist:

This thing has unbelievable power: 550 W @ 8 Ohms, 1000 W @ 4 Ohms, and 1200 W @ 2 Ohms. I have no idea what the clipping sounds like, because I have not been able to make this thing clip, and I don't want to be anywhere near it when it does! Just keep turning it up and you just keep getting more volume. I've easily destroyed my band with this thing and it's a great feeling being able to play easy, and have plenty of headroom when you need it.

The EQ on this thing blew me away. It's like a 3.0 and 6.0 shuttle combined and on some serious steroids. Both a tube and SS bendable channel, 5-band on each, each with their own gain, volume, and effects loop. I can make pretty much any sound with this thing that I want.

To top everything off is the footswitch. Boost the bass, treble, or scoop the mids instantly. Then you can also switch between the separate preamp channels or blend them on the switch. Set up 2 different EQs, one for the verse, one for the chorus, and switch right in the middle of the song. Plus everything's lit up like crazy so you always know what's active and what's not.
You can find the details here since there seems to be a problem with the Genz site:
http://bass-guitars.musiciansfriend.com/product/GenzBenz-GBE-1200-Bass-Amp?sku=483634

I would say that this thing is a 9.9/10. (9.9 because there's probably something that I just can't see on it.) I put it right in the rack as soon as I got it. Footswitch and manual included. I'll ask what I got it for, which is $800+ shipping c

Set this amp on a Berg NV something and get set to kill anything your guitard can throw at you.
They are nice. Good luck.

I just had to sound off. As the owner of a GBE 1200, I have to say that these amps are monster's. There's just no other way to put it. I've owned mine since 06/08 and it has handled anything I've used it for.

On my 410HLF it hits you in the chest and has headroom to spare. Try this head with the tube channel set with hi-mids and treble silghtly boosted and run up the gain in that tube pre till it gets just a bit of grit and growl when you dig in. Then set the FET channel with some lows and lo-mids and crank it. Combine both channels and the tone is like hi-fi with growly punch :) :) An added bonus is that these amps will run down to 2 OHMS and never even heat up. They are zero clearance design. Mines in a tight rack and is always cool to the touch.

Genz Benz customer service is among, if not the best you'll find anywhere.

Whoever gets this head won't be dissappointed!

BUY IT!! If I didn't already own one, I'd be all over it.

Oh man, this is my favorite EQ with it so far! Cut the mids and boost the bass in the FET, and boost the mids and highs in the tube and this thing combines the best of both worlds :hyper:.

I've had my GBE 1200 since 2006 and will NEVER get rid of it, expecially since I now pair it with a Genz Uber cab :) Just last night I accidentally overpowered an entire outdoor PA with my 1200/Uber 410... incredible amp.

I have the exact same set-up! The 1200 thru a genz uber 410 absolutely kills. I understand this amp, through just about anything with cones, sounds awesome, but the 1200 and Uber 410 are MFEO!
