For sale Genz Benz GBE1200

Solid piece of gear and a masterpiece of engineering and build quality. I gigged one for a couple of years. This thing brings the muscle to be sure! I miss that.

Wow - that is an amazing price!! Anyone looking for a killer high powered gig rig should really snap this up (I would, but I already have that covered).

The Genz Benz EQ and tone shaping in particular are in my opinion, the best in the biz. I own a NeoPak 3.5 myself and have never failed to get good tone out of it, regardless of cab used, bass used, or venue.

And the blue lights attract women like moths to a flame!

Plainly, it is a Ruby Select 12Ax7

Many threads exist on the topic of how they are JJ and Chinese Tubes that have been tested to be within a certain range of tolerances, that Ruby does not make the tubes.

We have a NeoX 400 and a GBE 600 with the Ruby tubes in them, yet they do not sound quite the same.
We have a NeoX 400 and a GBE 600 with completely unmarked tubes in them, and that GBE 600 sounds closest to the NeoX with the Ruby in it, which is the Benchmark Tone Amp so far.

Use of the recently acquired GBE 1200 was a smash hit on the tone, testing the power amp section alone.
It seemed to have a rasp or growl that the ShuttleMax 12.0 did not have, but was not constrained like the 12.2 Tube emulation.

The difference in the Load between the 12.0 and the 1200 was that the 12.0 well matches the 2x 112 NeoX cabinets, and is very nice, while the 1200 mismatches at +400w. Hm, wow! Something about the tone.

We did the 12.0 through a 212 NeoX the other night, and the 1200 through the 2x 112 NeoX stacked on top. We switched the speaker wires a couple of times, and the 1200 just had shade of growl that might have been magical to the players ears.

Tests will continue, but I suspect the player is dreaming of 2 GBE 1200's.

Now, to get one more 2x12 NeoX or NX cabs, and if we get the 2 night stand opener for Molly Hatchet and Pat Travers Band, will they allow us to stage the twin 4x12 NeoX stacks at 2400w?
