I see a fair amount of people on TalkBass liking Genzler stuff. I’m not familiar with it but need a solid 700-800 watt great sounding amp. I am used to GK, Ampeg, Mesa, Fender. What’s the sound like?

I bought a Magellan when I was looking for a counterpoint to my GK 700RB-II, and I really loved the Magellan.
Tonally, the Magellan seemed to have a lot of the quickness and clarity I love about the GK - but the Genzler's edges were a little smoother and more refined.
If I could have afforded to keep both, I would have - but the GK has been my go-to for longer than any other bass head, and has proven itself in SO many situations that I didn't dare part with it.
Since then, I picked up a Mesa M-Pulse 600 - which is handy to have when I want something more round and smooth than the GK.
I'd put the Magellan as a great blend of those two, with more power and roughly 1/3 the weight of either.
IMO the Magellan is much more of a GK/Mesa sound than a Fender/Ampeg sound - the Magellan is tighter and faster, especially down low.
Contour B and the overdrive channel can get you in the Ampeg ballpark, but the native tone of the Magellan is clarity, punch, and control.
