Hagstrom 8 string short scale bass with hard shell case for $470 firm US dollars shipped to your door. My scale has this at 10.0 pounds on the button. Shipping via Canada Post Expedited Parcel/USPS. Shipping within the continental US and Canada at this $470 price, if you are in Hawaii or Alaska or elsewhere contact me and we can make this work out for the actual shipping cost. This bass is problem free, plays great and sounds thick and great. Mahogany body, maple neck, six way pickup selector switch provide wonderful tone options. All stock, the wild cherry transparent finish looks awesome.

Surprising to state the neck weight compared to the body weight is not an issue when playing with the strap on. It appears where Hagstrom placed the strap pins works for avoiding neck dive. For sure the bass is solid and heavy at 10 pounds and even with the small body the body itself seems to contain a big ratio of the weight. The headstock on these is really big physically and visually.... but playing wise you are not hanging on for dear life to keep the neck in the the air. Thanks for the reply.

Oh man, I almost bought one of these for around that price before our Canadian dollar went in the toilet. Should have jumped when I had the chance!

I am trying to downsize the number of basses I have, so if I can trade two or more from my basses available for just one additional bass... then I can go pursue that. A straight one for one bass exchange doesn't really work for me. If something real cool is presented I'd be in favour of hearing the idea. Thanks
