Up for sale is an incredible sounding Handbox R-400 hybrid amp. This amp can grind with the best of them. It is not your starved plate designed tube preamp, the 12AX's are in there to do work.
If you go into the Handbox megathread, you'll see this particular amp has a story with it. Basically, the original owner ran it at 2 ohms and burned up the transformer (this is the 4 ohm version). A new Handbox OEM transformer was installed (plug and play) and it has been flawless ever since with many hours of operation by myself.
It is a very well built unit that comes with its own build in carrying case....solid as a rock. The tone can go anywhere from hifi-esque to vintage tones but it flat excels at driven rock and roll IMO. The sonic bliss this head provides has to be heard to be believed
