Here's a sweet, one-of-a-kind Howard Ulyate Model I 5-string I recently acquired. This bass sounds sooooo rich and clear. If access to higher register is important to you, then look no further. This has zero restrictions in the upper register. Super straight neck and crazy low action. B string is nice and piano like.
Only passing along since I know myself now and I'm too used to vintage style necks. This super thin-neck is just not my style. Absolutely nothing wrong with it besides my personal taste.
