Up for sale is an Ibanez DWB-2 bass. This is a single owner instrument (me) and has been gigged and rehearsed, but not excessively.
As the pics show it is in really clean shape and comes with the OHSC and some hanging tabs.
There are a few nicks on the back. Hopefully I can add photos of those to the post, but they are available on request. Most of it should be remove able with some buffing.
For those not in the know this bass was made briefly by the Ibanez custom shop, as one of the two Wimbish sigs they sold at the time. Doug is a long time Spector endorser but worked with Ibanez for a few years in the late 90s and early 00s.
This is basically a bolt on clone of or tribute to a neck through Spector NS-2, flame maple curved body and wings with active electronics and emg esque pickups.
In order to increase the similarity to a neck through Spector, the body has a flame maple center, and flame maple wings. Unlike a Spector these are separated by walnut stripes. As you can see in the photos the flame is quite stunning. Also like a Spector NS2 the body is curved.
Mop inlays on the neck, gold bridge and tuners, brass nut. Appears to be a 1.5" width, please ask if you want that confirmed.
These retailed for $2000 or something absurd iirc in 2001-2002. Street was in the $1,500 range. Fit and finish backs that up as this is a very nice instrument.
Strings are crisp and new. It was recently setup by Eric Chaz.
$800 shipped in the lower 48. Negotiable on anything else.
No trades please as I'm using the funds to buy another instrument.
More pics will be added later. Thank you for your consideration and please do not hesitate to contact me regarding questions.
