For sale is a 1982 Ibanez MC924
I got this from a friend but I cannot seem to get comfortable with the neck (my loss is your gain!)
When I got the bass, the pre-amp was shot. I had Carl Pedigo (master Lakland luthier) put in an LH3 pre-amp.
The bass now sounds amazing both in active and passive modes. Very full sounding.
The controls are now:
TOP (Gold knobs):
Passive Tone (does not work in active mode)
Balance
Volume (Pull up to switch between active and passive)
BOTTOM (Black knobs) (Active Controls):
Bass
Midrange
Treble
Toggle: Carl says it provides a bit of "definition" in passive mode. My ears are not good enough to hear any significant difference. IMHO, the bass just sounds GREAT in either active or passive modes!
The bass really looks great....and classy but has been used.
The front is pretty clean and has a few minor blemishes/dings (cannot capture in photos).
There is a chip near the input jack (see pictures) and the back has some scratches (again, see pictures).
Shipped (CONUS) in a good gig bag.
THANK YOU FOR LOOKING!
Sorry - no trades....
