I own several mid range Ibbys, and I really like all of them. This bass is in a different class. The looks, the electronics, and perhaps most notably, the neck. It has an SR1800 neck on it, which is how I received it. I'd guess it might've had a wonky neck and was replaced with an SR1800 neck. So you get the 5 piece Atlas wenge and bubinga neck with the titanium rods. It's very stable. It just feels solid. The "Atlas" shape neck has a little more meat on it than the standard SR necks, but it's still what you expect ie slim and fast. It feels great with the Premium fret edge treatment. Each fret end is totally rounded over, smooth as silk.

It has an ash and walnut top over a mahogany body in a very sleek package that is super comfortable.

Nordtrand Big Singles into a powerful 3 band EQ. Flip a switch and it bypasses the EQ and then the Treble boost/cut acts as a tone control.

There is practically no fretware on this neck. I've got it strung with Fender flatwounds. Plays like butter.

going thumbnails for the rest of the pics.

This can be somebody's dream bass. It could be mine, but I need to sell something to maintain peace in the house. I'm running out of room, so I'm not interested in trades.
This is a hell of a deal on a bass that is close to passing like new.

Ibanez knocked it out of the park with their Premium line. I have the SR2605 which has the exact same pickup/preamp/controls configuration. The thing can generate pretty much any tone I want. If I had cash right now I'd scoop this up just to have another one. Great deal on it too. Anyone who buys this is gonna be very happy.

I was playing with a looper pedal, and using different sounds from the bass to make layers, and you're right you can get an amazing assortment of tones from those Nordstrands and the EQ.

Another thing that impresses me is the overall ergonomics. It's right at 8 lbs, yet the way it hangs, and the curvature of the body make it seem ever lighter, and the curves on the back hug your body so.

I may put some other things up and try to keep this one. Dunno.
