For sale Ibanez SR5006e prestige

This bass sounds and feels amazing, but I'd like to get a 6 string with a bit wider spacing (Roscoe, MTD, Peavey Cirrus) next time. This bass is handmade in Japan by Ibanez's team of skilled craftsmen, and comes equipped with custom made US Bartolini pickups with radiused tops. This bass growls almost as good as my Roscoe SKB3005! But it doesn't JUST growl, the electronics in this bass are incredibly versatile and will give you smooth to growl to funky. It's in excellent to near-mint condition with only a hint of tarnish on the bridge pieces, and very light signs of use, and a small gap on the treble side of the neck ~1/32"...I'm OCD. Action is very comfortably and low at ~2mm or less. It's a phenomenal bass with pro quality build and tone. I'll go ahead and state the obvious here, just in case: LOTS of wenge! Neck is bubinga and wenge, with a wenge fretboard and ablone fretmarkers; and the body is mahogany sandwiched between beautifully grained wenge with some wood accent layers (maple and some other woods...mahogany, bubinga??). I have not weighed it, but my guess is it's near 10lbs. This particular model (as they have made a few different sr5006's) has the Q-mid knob which widens or narrows the bandwidth of affected mids, and also shift the frequency--the higher the Q the lower the frequency. Also this neck is the KTS (titanium rod) equipped neck...Mike Tobias has used this on a few of his fretted basses, and I think many of his newer fretless--it's that good
