I have an Ibanez SR900 in good - very good condition (some slight buckle rash on the back, frets are in good shape, truss rod works perfectly).
Anyone who has played these basses knows how bright (and overly aggressive) they can be with the MK1's and the Ibby preamp. I upgraded the pickups to Barts Deep Tone and the preamp to a Bart 3-band preamp with push/pull on the mids to change frequency of the mid cut/boost. The deep tone Barts really help to tame the excessive top end but do not dull the tone & coupled with the Bart preamp, there are tonal options still to be had.
Also, I added a switch to select which coils to use: 1 switch to adjust both pickups: Both Series/neck Single & Bridge Series/both Single coil.
Full disclosure: There is one other blemish, at the midrange pot: the wood started to slightly split. Glue had been applied and there and has been holding perfectly (as it should).
I have a case that it will ship in (not an Ibby case, but it still works - a bit beat up).
Please ask any questions you may have.
